"Art after Dark" Artist and Crafter's Market

 

About

The Artist and Crafter's Market is a featured event of our "Art after Dark" art walk in Fuquay-Varina, including our special editions of Spring for the Arts and Fall for the Arts in April and September. The market takes place on the second Friday of every month from April - September and in December for a special holiday edition. We offer this market as a way for local artists to share their work with the community, and for visitors to have the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy the work of local artists.

Cost

For those who are not Arts Council members, there is a $10 fee due at the time of registration for each market that you participate in. For Arts Council members, registration is FREE. Members also may register one week before non-members (see below).

Location

The market is located outdoors from April - September (in downtown Varina on odd months and in downtown Fuquay on even months). There is also a special Holiday Edition of our Artist and Crafter's market indoors during "Art after Dark" in December (location to be determined).

Requirements:

You must register ahead of time to participate.
Please bring your own tables, chairs, tents, lighting, or any other materials necessary for your display. 
You must be present to sell your work.
All merchandise being sold must be original artwork and crafts.
Individual spaces will be limited to 10x10

PLEASE READ BELOW TO SEE WHEN YOUR REGISTRATION PERIOD OPENS

A seperate registration is required for each month.
For Fuquay-Varina Arts Council members, registration begins 25 days prior to the event (this is the Monday 4 business weeks prior to the event).
For non-members, registration begins 18 days prior to the Art after Dark even (this is the Monday 3 business weeks prior to the event).

NOTE: If you attempt to register prior to your date, you will receive a notice that will restrict you from doing so. If you are a member, you must use the email that you gave us when you became a member to be recognized by the system as such. If you do not know which email that is, you can try trial and error, or email fvartscouncil@gmail.com and we will be happy to let you know.

Registration closes 48 hours before the event, or once the market fills, whichever comes first.

Registration for "Spring for the Arts" (April 12th) and "Fall for the Arts" (Sept 13th) may begin earlier. Visit us here for more details as these events get nearer.
