Let there be ART: a Benefit Art Auction to support the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council November 9th, 2012

The Fuquay-Varina Arts council will host a Benefit Art Auction November 9th during the Art After Dark Art Walk. The auction will be held from 6-9pm (with a preview from 5-6pm) at the Stars Theater and Arts Center at 123 E. Vance Street in Fuquay-Varina, N.C.
The night will include a live auction with auctioneer Jason McCoon of Tory Hill Auction Company, co-star of the History Channel series REAL DEAL, and some silent auction items as well. We will be taking consignments of Art of any media: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, ink, mixed media, digital music/art, handcrafted pottery, sculpture, jewelry, metal, or woodcraft. Donations of classes, lessons, or camps that instruct in any artform are also appreciated.
Artists wishing to participate will need to fill out an auction consignment agreement form. You may contact Terri Dickson by email at chrisnterri@live.com or call (919) 280-6306 for more information. The first piece of art submitted will be considered a 100% donation and the Artist may consign more of their artwork with 50% of the proceeds going to the artist and 50% going to the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council. You may arrange to drop off artwork items at Magnolia House Custom Picture Framing 218 South Main Street, Fuquay-Varina or contact Ms. Dickson at (919) 280-6306 to arrange pick up or drop of artwork.
The Benefit Art Auction will assist the Fuquay-Varina Arts Council with its mission to inspire and enhance the lives of citizens in our community and beyond by developing appreciation of the arts, presenting arts programming and education, supporting local artists, & fostering creativity in the community. The auction will give artists a chance to increase exposure of their talent to the public and allow their creative works to be enjoyed and appreciated by others in the community.
